What’s ITOFUND
We are an active and passionate community driven by a shared mission to support animal welfare, particularly in helping dog shelters like and the incredible dogs they care on a daily basis.
ITO is closely tied to the story of Doge a dog who was rescued from the Chiba Wan Shelter by the famous Kabosu Mama(Atsuko Sato). This connection of both Kabosu and ITO to the Chiba Wan shelter has inspired our community to give back and make a meaningful impact for other dogs who are waiting for their forever homes.
With that in mind, we started to support the first dogs at the Chiba Wan Shelter who can now benefit from our adoption support program that goes beyond a traditional donation and offers direct support to the dogs and their adopters.
What we do:
We cover the first-year costs for each dog adopted from a dog shelter.
Our goal is to reduce the financial burden on both the shelter and the new dog owners, ensuring the dogs are well cared for during their first year in a new home. This way we also make it possible for low income households to adopt a dog within their families. Win- win
What We’re Offering:
We cover approximately $1,500 for each dog adopted.
This amount would contribute to the following essential expenses for the first year:
• Adoption fee
• Food
• Medical care
• Insurance
This is not a one-time donation to a shelter, but a program where we support the adopters directly, ensuring that the dogs receive the care they need while easing the financial strain on your shelter.
How It Works:
• Dog Selection: The dogs eligible for this support will be selected by your shelter.
• ITO Support Package: Each dog covered by this program will be featured on your website with a mention of the “ITO adoption support” stamp available for adopters.
• Promotion & Updates: We would love to share the stories of these dogs on our website and receive updates on their progress. This will help raise awareness for the dogs and the important work your shelter is doing. Also this ways dogs find new homes faster and your shelter has less costs.
We believe this will create a win-win situation, helping both the dogs and your shelter by alleviating adoption-related costs while providing potential adopters with an added incentive to adopt.
